PHoto essay with audio
People of Vegas is a photo essay project that follows interesting Las Vegas locals. Episode 4 follows Las Vegas musician Alice AKA rapper Lil Lavedy.
When I first met Alice, I was super intimidated. She looked like a rock star. She had these heels on that made her taller than me, and she had these cute glasses and a bolo tie on, and I felt seriously uncool in her presence. But then she spoke, and I thought, 'oh! She's just a dork like me!' And the more I got to know her, the more I felt similarities between us and parallels in our lives. I've learned a lot from her about music, but more importantly about just unapologetically being your authentic self. She tries everyday to be a good person and improve herself, and I'm on a similar mission/journey. I am so happy to have made this new friend, and I am so excited to share how amazing she is, and give you a glimpse into the life of such a strong, intelligent and talented young woman.
